Past Rabbit Management Projects – let’s not reinvent the wheel!

Reports
  • Many communities, agencies, scientists and industry groups have been finding out about the rabbit’s impact on Australia through rabbit research and management programs, in the past.

  • These projects and the people who designed and implemented them can be a source of great guidance for management in different areas, for example, for techniques particularly where viral controls are not effective yet

  • The Australian Government has the details for projects that have been funded under various programs over the last 20 years

  • If you’d like to search the database of Australian Government funded rabbit management programs, simply send an email to the RabbitScan team, stating your area of interest, and contact details. Great Theme

"What ever the outcomes of climate change, generally speaking they will favour invasive species with broad ecological and habitat tolerance. This will exacerbate the impact rabbits have on the natural environment"
