Glenn McGrath AM, former Australian Cricketer, today met with Australia's leading scientists to launch a new community action campaign and website, called RabbitScan. RabbitScan has been launched amid renewed fears by government, industry and the community that rabbits are growing in numbers, range and in the damage they cause, right across Australia.

A far north Queensland rabbit monitoring program was established in October 2007. The monitoring was in response to an increase in reported rabbit sightings in the tablelands area.
